He was predeceased by: his parents, Miley Long and Margaret Willis Long; his sons, Jerry Dewayne "Dee" Long and Robert Allen "Robbie" Long; and his siblings, Albert Long, Richard Long and Faye Walters.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Paxton Long; his son Jason "Pedro"; his daughter-in-law Pat Long of Richmond; his grandchildren, Erin Long of Winchester, Ashlee Long of Campbellsville, Emily Long of Richmond, Dusty Long of Campbellsville and Elliott Long of Campbellsville; his sister-in-law Billie Long of Stanton; and his great grandchildren, Ronnie Bishop, Rural Bishop, Garvis Bishop, Lary Bishop, Terry Bishop, Lottie Curtis, Carol Hobbs, Steve Newton, Becky Landis, Eric and Kim Johnson. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association, which can be made at the funeral home.
