She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Sowder and Edna Mae Bailey Plummer; and her husband Leonard Akin. She is survived by: her children, Leonard Mark Akin (Linda), Bernard Michael Akin (Tamasina) of Campbellsville and Mary Michelle Akin-Fisher (Neil) of Versailles; her grandchildren, Austin Tyler Akin, Jace Sabe Matthew Akin, Hanna Miles (Andrew), Luke Akin, Nadia Monk, John Bradley Ledford and Leonard Douglas Ledford; her great grandchild DeAmora McAllister; and her siblings, Ronald Singleton, Harold Singleton, Jay Singleton and Wanda Singleton Douglas. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
