He was predeceased by: his parent Lander; his grandson Daniel Cody Matney; and his brother Otis Owen Absher. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Absher and Tonia Matney; and his siblings, Barry Absher and Ruby Buckner of Greensburg.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Family Burial Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
