He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Johnson "B. J." Montgomery and Ruby Janelle Curry Montgomery. He is survived by: his wife Linda Jean Lobb Montgomery of Green County; his daughters, Jennifer Ball (Timmy Dickens) of Greensburg, Sarah (Billie Lockard) and Elizabeth (Scott Brockman); his grandchildren, Emily Ball (Henry), Alex Ball, Jackson Martin, Nicholas Martin, Piper Lockard, Benjamin Martin, Gracie Montgomery, Jacob Hayes and Noah Janes; his stepgrandchildren, Zoe Clark (Eli), Kirsten Lockard, Chase Brockman (Whitney) and Chance Brockman; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Paxton and Theo; his sister Patricia; his brother-in-law Richard Potts of Lexington; his brothers, David (Tanya Montgomery) and John (Kathleen Montgomery); and his pet Rod Chester J. Dogger. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund or Hosparus of Green River, which can be made at the funeral home.
