He was predeceased by: his parents, Richmond Sparks and Katherine Sparks; and his sisters, Viola Sexton, Versie Fannin and Goldie Ball.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Blevins Sparks; his daughters, Candy Pannell (Scott Strehl) of Dayton and Vonda Kay Carroll (James) of Ashville; his granddaughter Amber Applegate (Mark) of Knoxville; and his sister Geneva Adams of Grayson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
