He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Tackett and Hattie Baier Tackett; and his siblings, Fordie Tackett, Clydie Tackett, Harlan Tackett, Eula Wright, Opal Hall, Leola Adams, Ward Tackett, Nellie Evans, Isabel Clay, Hobert Tackett and Billy Tackett.
He is survived by: his children, Ricky Tackett (Lisa) of Hillsboro, KY, Tommy Ray Tackett of Grayson, KY, Rena Lucas (Jerry) of Grayson, KY, Vicki Cochran (Tom) of California, Linda Steele (Brent) of Grayson, KY and Vanessa Church (Michael) of Ashland, KY; and his sisters, Betty O'Banion of Georgia and Pearl Merrit of Georgia. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Malone Funeral Home (325 Malone Ln, Grayson, KY 41143). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
