He is survived by: his parent Louise Clagg Carter; his wife Hattie Marie Mullins Carter; his children, Maria Thompson (Tommy) of Chesapeake and Steven Carter of Huntington, W. V; his grandchildren, Nick Thompson, Alex Thompson, Samantha Thompson and Zac Thompson; his siblings, Kenneth Carter (Chiquita) of Milton, W. V, Keith "Mouse" Carter of Huntington, W. V, Gary "Doc" Carter of St. Petersburg and Peggy Garrett (Gary) of Watkinsville; and also Sug. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
