She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Burton and Geneva Burton of Grayson, KY.. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Kail Daniel Ruffner; her children, K. Daniel Ruffner (Lori) of West Chester, OH and Dr. Kari Shields of Grayson, KY; her brother Dr. Richard Burton (Ann) of Coralville, IA; and her grandchildren, Kate Carter of Columbus, OH, Konnor Shields and Shelby Shields of Grayson, KY. She is also survived by nieces and several cousins.
