He was predeceased by: his parents, Emerson Sr. Lewis and Augusta Faye Yates Lewis; his close friend Sharon K. Sparks Dunn; his brothers, Kenneth Charles Lewis, Dwayne Edward Lewis and Ronald Darrell Lewis; and his brother-in-law John Blevins.
He is survived by: his nephew Devin Wayne Campbell; his children, Charles Lewis (Hey-Young) of Fairfax, VA and Erica Lewis (Brandon) of Grayson; his grandchildren, Ashton Dwayne Lewis, Aura Paige Lewis, Lily Brooke Mullins and Maru Kai Lewis; and his siblings, Emerson Lewis, Jr. (Brenda) of Grayson, Jackie Lewis (Bobbi) of Rush, Audrey Lee Blevins of Grayson, Regina Jones (Chad) of Grayson and Trenna Campbell (Paul) of Lexington.
