He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Claxon and Margaret Stephens Claxon; and his siblings, Edward Claxon, Thomas Claxon, Elmer Claxon, Glen Claxon, Bill Claxon, Lora Claxon Wheeler, Madge Claxon Bellew, Wilma, Wanda and Irene Claxon.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Harris Claxon; and his children, Beverly Miller (David), Peggy Hay Ashworth (Scott), Lora Green (Phillip), Ginger Campbell, Charity Claxon Collingsworth (Eric), Greg Campbell and Kevin Campbell. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
