He was predeceased by: his parents, Monnie Poling and Turl Poling of Nesterville; his brothers, Dorwin (Betty), Bertsel and Harold (Mabel); his in-laws, Millard and Mabel Ellenberg; and his siblings-in-law, Roy (Juanita), Joseph (Louise), Verlin Ray and Bessie Hall.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn R. Ellenberg; his children, Brian Poling (Cindy) of Grayson and Karen Black (William) of Louisville; his grandchildren, Trevor Black (Elizabeth), Josh Poling (Grace), Emily Black and Jeremy Poling; and his siblings-in-law, Helen Thornberry (Teddy), Donna Ellenberg, Robert (Ann) and Harold Ellenberg (Carolyn). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
