He was predeceased by: his wife Sharlette Johnson Bays; and his siblings, Bruce Bays, Denver Bays, Hubert Bays and Maude Bays.
He is survived by: his son William Kenton Bays; his grandson Nicholas Bays; his sister Anna Lois Bays; his stepchildren, Diane Smith (Billy), Larry Brown (Jean) and Gary Brown (Donna); and his stepgrandson Chris Hicks. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the family has requested all services to be private.
