He was predeceased by: his parents, Bryan Dale and Ethel Peters Dale; the mother of his children Marion J. Dale; and his brother Kenneth Dale. He is survived by: his wife Anna Lois Dale of Grayson; his children, Anthony Kulczyk (Marilyn) of Dyer, Indiana, Deborah Caine (Russell) of Gilbert, Jacquelyn Pruim (Dale) of St. John and Laura Shepard (Randall) of Valparaiso, Indiana; his brother William Dale of Lafayette, Louisiana; and his stepsons, Bill Lewis (Andrea) of Grayson and Chuck Lewis (Bertha) of Texas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren.
