She was predeceased by: her parents, Elsie William and Effie Rose Witten; her husband George Fields of Grayson; and her siblings, Jimmy McCarty, Martha Crum and Erma Lee Nethercutt.
She is survived by: her son Dr. Larry S. Fields (Judith) of Ashland; her grandchildren, Benjamin Alexander Fields (Jennifer) of Charleston, W. Va, John Vincent Fields (Erika) of Atlanta and Kathryn Elizabeth Fields (J. P. Christenson) of Boston; her great grandchildren, Alexander Fields, Zachary Fields and Thomas Fields; and her caregivers, Taylor Fillgrove and Kim Bustetter. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
