It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Robert Hale of Grayson, Kentucky, born in Whitesburg, Kentucky, who passed away on December 8, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmar Hale and Lizzie Isaac Hale; his wife Reavel Damron Hale; his son Monte Hale; his siblings, Dorothy Dinkens, Clarice Alexander, Carolyn Sue Jackson, Gene, Willard, Larry, Isaac and Bert Hale; his son-in-law Timothy Felty; his stepgrandson Timothy Jason Felty; and his stepgreat-grandson Justin Felty.
He is survived by: his daughters, Helen Felty of Grayson and Sally Atkins (Randy) of Sandy Hook, KY; his siblings, Bertha Dinkens of Grayson, Mattie Hale of Grayson, Melissa Smith (Bernie) of Flatwoods, Eddie Hale (Sharon) of Grayson and Danny Hale of Ashland; his grandchildren, Joseph Alexander, Nina Alexander, Sandra Atkins, Monica Craig and Eric Hale; and his stepgrandchildren, Jeffrey Felty and Candy Creech. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, five step great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and seven step great-great-grandchildren.
Due to COVID -19 restrictions and current mandates set forth by the Governor, private services will be conducted Friday by Bro. Bobby Bond with the burial in the Damron Family Cemetery.
