He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Elam and Marie Waggoner Elam; his children, Kimberly Elam, Jamie Elam Hall and Rob Elam; his grandson Elijah Hall; his granddaughter-in-law Stacy Kiser; and his siblings, Jack Elam and Jean Grubb.
He is survived by: his son Tim Lawson (Patty); his sister Bobbi Stephens; and his grandchildren, Josh Kiser, Maria Kirk (Ashton), Zack Kelly (Carly), Robert Elam, Corey Elam (DaShae), Breanna Elam (Trey Roe), Tim Lawson, Barton Lawson, Adam Lawson and Dustin Lawson. He is also survived by great grandchildren; and a host of friends.
