He was predeceased by: his parent Juna Lea Deprang May; his grandparents, Montie Ben, Mildred Gautney Deprang, Russell Milton Staton and Julie McPherson Tyler; and his uncles, Russell Staton and Paul Staton.
He is survived by: his father James Larry Staton (Kathy) of Doyline, LA; his wife Katie Henrietta Bowman Staton; his children, Conner Charlton Staton (Emily Jo) of Lexington, Kaitleigh Staton Tussey (Travis) of Grayson and Camren Jaimes Staton (Kaitlynn Marie) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Addison Jo Staton and Emersyn James Tussey; his siblings, Janeen Staton Barmore (Michael) of Haughton, LA and Jeffrey Lynn Staton (Kimberly) of Bossier City, LA; and his nieces and nephews, Kody Lane Barmore, Hanah Leann Barmore-Smith, Mikala Rose Barmore, Abbie Louise McMillon, Austin James McMillon, Brandon Lee Staton and Thomas Joseph Staton. He is also survived by great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Malone Funeral Home (325 Malone Ln, Grayson, KY 41143). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
