He was predeceased by: his parent Wick Horton; his wife Edith Sparks Strother; and his siblings, Robert B. Strother, Louise S. Theobald and Inez Wick Loomis.
He is survived by: his parent Inez Wilhoit Strother; his children, Jack Strother, Jr. (Celia) of Grayson and Mimi Strother Stoops of Vero Beach, Florida; his grandchildren, Mark Strother (Krista) of Grayson, Lisa Griffith (Mark) of Union, KY and Julie Argo (Howard) of Greenwood, DE; and his great grandchildren, Matthew Strother, Mary Kate Strother, Nathan Griffith, Wendy Griffith, Jocelyn Argo and Howard Argo.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Ashland, KY or the First Church of Christ of Grayson.
