She was predeceased by: her parents, Danny Moreland and Carolyn Carroll Moreland. She is survived by: her husband Gregory Shaffer; her son Tony "T. J." Layne (Shelby) of Lexington; her siblings, Susan Bottorf (Chris) of Mansfield, Bonita Johnson of Flatwoods and Jason Moreland (Louise) of Ewing; her aunts, Brenda Carroll of Soldier and Kay Moreland of Grahn; her uncle Manuel Moreland (Tammy) of Grahn; and her cousin P. J. Kouns of Grayson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stinson Church of Christ or the Hitchins Fire Department.
