He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Everman and Iona Everman; his wife Yvonne Newsom Everman; his grandchild Tate Commodore Dearfield; his great grandchild Jackson Dearfield; and his siblings, Lillian Everman, Lorraine Brown, Garnet Qualls, June Hawkins, Jo Burch, Jean Bramblett and Darrell Everman.

He is survived by: his children, Marquetta Dearfield (Perry), Janie Potter (Michael) and Don Jr. Everman (Valerie) of Grayson; his grandchildren, Dustin Everman (Sarah), Weston Everman, Austin Everman (Laura Beth), Whitney Hayes (Cody), Perry Dearfield, Jr., Michaela Gambill (Kris), Mike Potter and Lori Potter; his great grandchildren, Macey Alexis Everman, Kaleb Izack Everman, Lennix Kyle Everman, Layla Ariel Everman, Lola Moon Everman, Markeylen Von Dearfield, Cody Robert Hayes, Kade West Hayes, Luca Albin Hayes, Michael Timothy "Trey" Potter and Jared Brice Potter; and his sisters, Gay Washburn and Sandy Allen (Larry).
