He was predeceased by: his parents, Taylor Shepherd and Elizabeth Huff Shepherd; his wife Diana Kay Caldwell Shepherd; his siblings, Paul Richard Shepherd, Taylor Shepherd, Jr. and Dorothy Burton; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Burton, Tracy Russell, Johnny Burton, Jim Caldwell, Mike Willis, Dena Shepherd, Darlene Shepherd and D. J. Caldwell.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Shepherd Adams (Larry) of Grayson, Dewey F. Shepherd (Jessica) of Knoxville, TN and Tony Shepherd (Trish) of Grayson; his grandchildren, Kayla Acosta (Chris), Shay Shepherd, Jennifer Adams McDavid (Tara), Spencer Shepherd (Kayleigh), Becca "Lei Lei" Adams Willis (Chase), Sawyer Shepherd and Gavin Shepherd; his siblings, Margaret Osborn (John) of Florida, Annabell Russell of Ashland, Flora Burton of Hitchins, Saphronia Willis of Olive Hill, Fred Shepherd of Grayson and Fermon Shepherd (Jeanie) of Grayson; and his siblings-in-law, Janet Shepherd, Karen Young and Rick Caldwell.
