He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Ora Lee, Lenoria Messer Murphy, Gene and Ruby Sparks. He is survived by: his parents, Randy Gene and Leora Sue Murphy Adkins of Grayson; his siblings, Tara Crockett (Max) of Ashland, Celsey Adkins (Ethan) of Grayson and Lance Corporal Christopher Spillman (Christa) of Camp Pendelton, CA; his grandparents, Darrell and Carolyn Sloas; and his nieces and nephews, Gracie Pruitt, Violet Blanton, Jaden Pennington, Tae Blanton, Christian Furnish and Skyler White. He is also survived by several friends and extended family.
