He was predeceased by: his parents, C. F. Stapleton and Edna Adkins Stapleton; and his siblings, Carl Stapleton (Joyce) and Francis Meenach (Owen). He is survived by: his children, Rick Stapleton, Connie Sturgill (Henry) and Keith Stapleton (Judy); his grandchildren, Selina Bishop (Shane), Josh Kitchen (Tabitha), Luke Stapleton (Brittany), Brianna Jarrell (Anthony) and Nick Stapleton (Erin); his stepgrandchildren, Lisa Baier (Scott) and Scott Williams; his grandson Shane Bishop; and his son-in-law Henry Sturgill. He is also survived by the love of his life of sixty-six years who he married.
