Carmel touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the vast expanse of eternity, Carmel shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Carmel farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Holbrook and Edna Bowling Holbrook; and his siblings, Arvil Holbrook, Ernest Holbrook, Madge Mabry and Naomi Stamper.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Boggs Holbrook; his children, Johnny Salyers (Sandra) and Terrisa Short (Craig); and his grandchildren, Brandon Short and Miranda Short.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Malone Funeral Home (325 Malone Ln, Grayson, KY 41143). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
