He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Gene and Elsie Jane Sergent McDavid; his brothers, Frankie E. McDavid and Steve H. McDavid; and his brother-in-law Duke Adams.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Jean Gibson McDavid; his children, Rebecca McDavid (Mike Felty), Jeremy McDavid, Christina Wilson of Mayfield, KY and James Jarvis of Virginia; his grandchildren, Zach Cathey (Amber), Hannah Cathey, Ethan Felty, Brookelynn Felty, Evan McDavid, Grace Jarvis, Haley Willie (Jackson) and John Thomas; his great grandchildren, Teagan, Amira, Sebastian, Ellianna, Ezra, Noah, Liam, Owen and Beau; his siblings, Brenda Porter of Grayson, Linda Adams of Grayson, Janie Carter (Zane) of Grayson and Kevin "Mooch" McDavid (Alice) of Grayson, KY; and his sister-in-law Drema McDavid.
