She was predeceased by: her parents, Hughie McDavid and Rosa Oney McDavid; her husband David "Red" Burgess; and her siblings, Carl Wayne McDavid, Gene McDavid, Chet McDavid, David McDavid and Sybil Sue "Susie" Morris.
She is survived by: her children, Tammie Jo Schertzer (Steve) of Lakeland, FL and David Burgess Jr. of Grayson, KY; her sister Mary Parsons; her sisters-in-law, Jeanetta McDavid Thomas, Belva McDavid and Kay McDavid; her grandchildren, Amy (Don), Steven (Heidi), Sunny, Adam (Beka), Loren (Mason) and James; and her great grandchildren, Taylor, Ryu, Eli, Addie, Easton, Malia, Reese, Lincoln and Gabe. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other family members and friends.
