She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Mayo and Verna Montgomery Mayo; her spouse Emird "June" Damron, Jr.; her siblings, Elihue, William "Gene" Eugene, Harold, Max, Elden May and Mary "Moo" Elizabeth Boggs; and her close friend Gladys Knipp.
She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Whitaker (Scott) of Grayson and Anna Jackson (Kyle) of Grayson; her grandchildren, Derek Duncan, Tessa Stephens, Leah Dickerson (Seth), Dylan Stephens of Grayson and Jeremey Jackson (Ciara) of Florence, KY; her great grandchildren, Kamden, Owen, Cooper, Tilley, Ellie and Maddox; her siblings, Elijah "Joe" of Gadsden, AL, Jimmy Mayo of Opelika, AL and Susie Weems of Gadsden, AL; her caregiver Janet Maggard; her close friends, Lillian Glancy, Pat Hopkins and Stella Hayes; her grandsons, Seth Dickerson and Benjy Jackson; and her sons-in-law, Kyle Jackson and Scott Whitaker. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
