With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alma Catherine Shartzer (Grayson, Kentucky), who passed away on April 28, 2020 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Burnett and Bessie Harrell Burnett; her husband Charles "Tom" Shartzer; her siblings, Louise Thomason and Harold Burnett; and her granddaughter Marie Escue.
She is survived by: her children, Beverly Ann Edwards (David) of Corydon, IN, Sherman Shartzer (Mildred) of Corydon, IN, Becky Cann (Sidney) of Leitchfield, Jerry Shartzer (Janet) of Duff and Jo Escue (Nolan) of Duff; and her grandchildren, Allen Edwards (Michele) of Corydon, IN, Susan Fessel (Chris) of Corydon, IN, Steve Shartzer (Becca) of Corydon, IN, Jim Shartzer (Jen) of Floyds Knob, IN, Mac Cann (Heather) of Owensboro, KY, Chris Cann (Channa) of Leitchfield, Bradley Shartzer (Heather) of Leitchfield, Michael Shartzer (Cindy) of Bowling Green, KY, Katie Hickman (Chris) of Franklin, KY and LeaAnn Frank (Wes) of Leitchfield. She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Grayson Manor Nursing Home in the form of hanging baskets, or by making a donation to Duff Cemetery in her name.
