He was predeceased by: his parents, Dexter Sergent and Jessie Fannin Sergent; and his sister Danese Lawson. He is survived by: his wife Ida Nolty Sergent; his daughter Lillian Gwen Sergent of Grayson; and his siblings, Wilma McCall of Grayson, Glenna Rigsby (Ike) of Rush, KY, Dexter Sergent of Oxnard, CA, Eugene Sergent (Sharon) of Shelby Township, MI, Charles Sergent (Joan) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Jack Sergent of Grayson and Danny Sergent (Patti) of Grayson.
