He is survived by: his wife Sherri Scalf; his children, Amber Jordan, Kyle Smith of Gray and Nick Smith of Gray; his grandchildren, Trey, Aubrey, Conor, Adleigh and Ellie; his siblings, Leonard Ray Messer (Jeannie) of Kirbyville, TX, Dennis Pete Baker of Dewitt, KY, Irene Robertson (Dallas) of Corbin, Susie Helton (James) and Rebecca Stilwell (Charles) of Spring, TX; his son-in-law Mike Helton; and his close friend Jim Britton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
