He was predeceased by: his parent G. B. Engle; his wife Ida Joan Engle; his siblings, Finley Ray Engle, Ernest Engle, Henrietta Thomas and Georgie Engle; and his niece Robin Thomas.
He is survived by: his brothers, Roger L. Engle and Henry D. Engle; and his nieces and nephews, David Dewayne Engle, Daniel Engle, Monica Evans, Angel Burton, Sherri Engle Bennett and Raleigh Engle.
