He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Troy, Evelyn Engle, Henry and Hallie Gilbert; and his father-in-law Earl Bowling.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Bowling Gilbert; his children, David Kilburn and Kaitlynn Wilson (Drew); his grandson Jackson Kilburn of Gray, KY.; his parents, Luther Arnold Gilbert Sr. and Ada Engle Gilbert; his sisters, Charlotte Vaughn (Calvin) of Gray, KY and Anita Dewees (Greg) of Corbin, KY; his niece Ashley; his nephew Gregory (Lynn); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Adelyn, Baileigh, Gracie, Melinda, JD, Ryder, Logan, Jayson, Gage, Robert and John.
