With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edgar Allen King of Gray, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 10, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dempsey King and Alice Hendrickson King; his former wife Erma Gibson; his wife Hazel Bright King; his children, James Bright, Judy Mills, David King and Jeff King (Sandy); and his siblings, Willie Denver Isles, Reba Mays, Rena Phipps and Earnest Howard King.
He is survived by: his children, Jenne Edwards, Jerry Bright and Rita Martin; his grandchildren, Johnna Murray, Jayme Mills, Jennifer Martin, Logan Martin and Landon Martin; his son Doug King (Jean) of Tampa, FL; his daughter-in-law Pam King of Flat Lick; his sisters, Mildred Napier of London, Faye Elliott of Davis Bend and Geraldine Scalf of Davis Bend; his grandchildren, Jeremy King (Sabrina), Justin King (Samarah), Lakin, Marena and Kelsea King; and his great grandchildren, Logan, Lydia, Hayden and Kyson King.
A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of the Knox Funeral Home (325 Knox St, Barbourville, KY 40906).
