He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Stewart; his children, Linda Johnson (Eddie), Terry Mitchell and Arthur Stewart, Jr.; his grandchildren, April Mitchell, Charles Mitchell, Stuart Mitchell (Charlisa) and Justin Johnson (Crystal); and his siblings, Kay Biggs (Larry) and Joe Stewart (Pam). He is also survived by many other relatives and numerous friends.
