He was predeceased by: his parents, Tandy Hammonds and Mary Monico Perry Hammonds; his son Stephen Ray Hammonds; and his siblings, Mary Hammonds, Arthur Hammonds, Jimmy Hammonds and Clarence "Tootle" Hammonds.
He is survived by: his wife Gayle Watkins Hammonds; his daughter Crystal Gayle Hammonds of Grand Rivers, KY; and his siblings, Ethyl Woodard of Cadiz, KY and Howard Hammonds of Hopkinsville, KY..
