She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie James Collier and Ruth Frances Snyder Collier; her husband Virgil Hackney; her former husband Richard Southworth; and her siblings, Robert Collier, Arthur Collier, Anna Kathryn Rose, Nellie Lee Hutcherson, Jessie Mae White, Betty Jean Nall and Mona Faye Yde.

She is survived by: her sister-in-law Betty Collier of Grand Rivers, KY; and her brother James "Buddy" Collier of Central City, KY. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
