He was predeceased by: his wife Mildred Hightower Dossey; his parents, Hubert Dossey and Marie Bailey Dossey; his daughter Barbara Jean Dossey; his brother Dale Dossey; and his great grandchild Matthew Dossey.
He is survived by: his children, Shirley Wilson of Grand Rivers, KY and Bruce Dossey (Tina); his grandchildren, Shawn Dossey, Justin Dossey, Tina Beyer, Rod Wilson, Jr., Jessica and Shackleford; and his great grandchildren, Tate, Cole, Emalee, Lilly, Lainey, Lakin, Bailey, Collin, McKenzie, Madison, Melanie and Miles.
