He was predeceased by: his parents, James Melvin and Mary Simpson; and his brother Joe Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Faye Simpson of Gracey; and his sons, Andy Wayne Simpson (Ann Elizabeth) of Kentucky, James Simpson (April) of Hopkinsville and John Hughes (Tracy) of Hopkinsville. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
