He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thornsberry and Roberta Brock Thornsberry; his siblings, Irmel Thornsberry, Wallace Thornsberry, Gerald Thornsberry, Tommy Thornsberry and Irma Thornsberry Holcomb; and his nephew Denny Thornsberry.
He is survived by: his brother Sonny Thornsberry; his aunts, Geneva Beatty (Gaines) and Mary Adkins; his nieces, Donna Sexton (Lynn) of Gordon and Lisa Smith (Charles); and his sisters-in-law, Lois Thornsberry of Gordon and Barbara Thornsberry of Frenchburg. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
