He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Shields and Susie Baker Shields; his sons, Bobby and Lester Shields; and his siblings, Bob, Bill Shields and Mary Kelly.
He is survived by: his daughter Andriea Shepherd (Lawrence) of Cumberland; his grandchildren, Autumn Vaughn of Williamsburg, KY and Alex Vaughn of Cumberland; and his sisters, Barbara Hornsby and Norma Hodge of Cumberland. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; as well as other family and friends.
