She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Howard and Violet Spencer Howard; her husband Charles L. Shaffer; her brother Michael Howard; and her sister-in-law Linda Howard.
She is survived by: her siblings, Donald Howard of Glendale, Thurston Howard (Christine) of Leitchfield and Sandra Howard of Glendale; her niece Stephanie Foster (Robert) of Louisville; her great-nephew Koree; and her great-niece Johanna.
Private funeral services will be held December 15, 2020, at 12:00 p. m. they will be private due to the Governor's mandate and pending steps to curtail the rising number of COVID-19 cases throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
