She was predeceased by: her parents, Odis Proffitt and Roxie Proffitt (England); her husband S. W. Higgason; her son Duke Alton Higgason; and her siblings, Edward Proffitt, Edwin Proffitt, Alma Dickerson, Marna Goad and Belvia Pare.
She is survived by: her daughter Alanna Foster (Higgason); her grandchildren, Rodney Lee Scott, Amanda Ann Dewes, Keisha Dyan Scott, Shadah Bree Gipson, Shannon Higgason, Shamala Higgason, Joshua Donelson, Matt Donelson and Dakota Stepp; her great grandchildren, Chyna Puckett, Michael Giles, Haley Warring, Austin Mullannix, Dylan Mullannix, Audrey Mullannix, Mullins of Alaska, Avayah Mullins, Jaxial Scott, Brandon Clark, Shannon Gipson, Sophia Gipson, Eli Higgason, Bella Nordmeyer, Silas Pomerinkle, Aria Pomerinkle, Rylyan Donelson and Lillian Donelson; and her great great grandchildren, Edward Puckett and Hayden Warring.
A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Glasgow Baptist Church (401 S Green St, Glasgow, KY 42141).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Glasgow Baptist Church.
