She was predeceased by: her parents, Unie Carl Taylor and Clara Lee Deweese Taylor; her husband Paul Wesley Proffitt; her grandchild Kayln Proffitt; and her siblings, Leroy Taylor, Perry Taylor and Dorothy Jean Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Paulette Ross (Fowler) of Tompkinsville, Kathy Lowe (Jimmy) of Glasgow and Daryl Proffitt of Glasgow; and her grandchildren, Sonya Green (Bryant), Jenny Buie (Shane), Brad Lowe (Jamie), Sarah Owens (Josh), McKenzie Cox (Jordan) and Wesley Proffitt. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; several loving nieces and nephews.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Shanti Niketan Hospice Home or South Green Street Church of Christ.
