She was predeceased by: her parents, Buford Garmon and Hatus Garmon (Hurt); her husband Russel Oliver; and her sister Edna Shaw. She is survived by: her son Stevie Joe York (Marcella); her sister Letha Pierce; her grandchildren, Stephanie Brewer and Louis York; her great grandchildren, Emma York, Dani York, Molly York, Sam Brewer and Zach Brewer; and her nephew Michael Pierce. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
