He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Goad and Nannie Elizabeth Depp Goad; his daughter Benita Goad Riddle; and his brother-in-law James Dale Gearlds. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Elaine "Patty" Spann Goad; his sister Billie Sue Gearlds; his son Stephen Goad (Ellen); his stepsons, Kim Edward Austin and John Howard Austin; his grandchildren, Amber Riddle Moore (Matt), Roger Dale Riddle, Jared Goad (Emma Grace), Lucas Goad, Noah Goad and Eliah Goad; his stepgrandchildren, Shannon Renee Austin-Goodin, Skylar John Austin-Goodin and Christina Grace Chobin; his great grandchildren, Watson Goad, Maebry Goad, Quincy Goad, Taff Moore and Bailey Moore; and his son-in-law Ricky Riddle.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
