He was predeceased by: his parents, John Britt and Lizzie Britt (Wheeler); his wife LaVerne Britt (Elmore); and his siblings, Jack Britt (Sis), Trulon Britt, Albert Britt (Ernestine), Reid Britt (Dorotha), Geralds Britt (Madge), Jay C. Britt (Jane), Dinah Turner (Charlie), Flossie Burd (Hermon) and Maxine Hagan (Dillard).
He is survived by: his children, Darrell Britt, Kevan Britt (Lisa), Theresa Britt and Rita Britt-Johnson; his grandchildren, Robin Bartley (Kelvin) and Monica Bledsoe (Brent); his stepgranddaughters, Jacqueline Huguley, Kristi Kinslow and Kendra Lider-Johnson; his great grandchildren, Trevor Bartley, Elli Bartley, Arianna Bledsoe, Aidan Bledsoe and Sadie Bledsoe; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Jobe Walker, Gabriel Walker, Zoe Huguley, George Wolfe and Elizabeth Wolfe; and his siblings-in-law, Paul D. Elmore (Bonnie) and Jane Britt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
