He is survived by: his wife Effi Houchens; his sons, Ricky Houchens (Monica) and Chris Houchens (Lori); his grandchildren, Jeremy Houchens (Kayla), Katelyn Houchens, Logan Houchens (Autumn), Brittany Peterson Kalob Sturgeon (Eian) and Keithen Sturgeon (Nataly); his stepgranddaughters, Amy Riddle and Megan Kinslow; and his siblings, Willie Dale Houchens (Melinda) and Janice Furlong. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
