He was predeceased by: his parent J. D. Williams; and his brothers, Robert Steven "Steve" Williams and James Daryl Williams. He is survived by: his wife Vessa Williams; his son Shannon "Shane" Lee Williams (Stacy); his grandchildren, Shannah OConnor, Conner Bryce (Rebecca), Sierra Nicole and Sydney Gabrielle; his stepgrandchildren, Taylor Wayne Ivie and Megan Marie Ivie; his brother Douglas "Doug" Jewell Williams (Jung); his brother-in-law Carroll "Skip" Atwood; his sister Jeri Lynn Marsh (Tom); his sister-in-law Mary Lynn Williams; and his cousin Loren Dale Spann. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
