With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Oren Douglas Walker of Glasgow, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 21, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel J. Walker and Iola Bernice Wilborn Walker; and the mother of his children Mary Walker. He is survived by: his children, Beth Walker Hayes (Patrick) and Richard Douglas Walker; his grandchildren, Mark Walker (Cassie Davis), Kelly Walker (Amy Wilson), Wendy Walker, Claudia Walker and Sarah Hayes (Blake Lawler); his great grandchildren, Katelyn, Annabelle Walker, Harlee, Wyatt Walker, Laressa Walker, Callie Jo Walker, McKenzie Coenen, Traiton Elsner, Beckham Long, Clayton, Waylon and Colton Winchester; and also, Amanda, Joanie, Jenny, Christy, Mark, Tanner and Danny.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home (2232 Summer Shade Rd, Summer Shade, KY 42166). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
