He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmer Lewis Scott and Ruby Ballard Scott. He is survived by: his sons, Kendrick Chad Scott (Wendi) of Bowling Green, Justin R. Scott (Amy) of Glasgow, Jon Eric Scott (Elisabeth) of Glasgow and Cory Lee Scott (Marisa) of Little Barren; and the mother of his children Evelyn Thompson Scott.

He was a Christian in faith and a proud member of the NRA and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
